My Dulcimer Club Meeting

Saturday was our second Audiating Dulcimer Doves meeting, held at my house.  Tina, Mary, Joan, Eric, and me.  We practiced together for about an hour and a half, then broke for lunch.  My DH was the chef and server.  He made a superb meal for us: salad, garlic bread, endive/chicken broth soup, spaghetti and meatballs, and gingerbread cake with cream cheese icing. All homemade from his family Italian recipes, (except for the gingerbread–that was from my mother).  Everyone ate until they were stuffed, then we went back to playing while he and Eric’s mom cleaned up.  Way to go!  Company without the clean-up. 🙂  He’s a keeper.

We practiced The Friendly Beasts, Red River Valley, Michael, Row the Boat Ashore, and The Spotted Pony.  It was getting close to ending time and we decided to try Wayfaring Stranger and Greensleeves.  While re-tuning, one of my strings broke, so that was it for the day.  It ended much too soon.

I'm singing along as we play The Friendly Beasts.

Our current club members.

Eric had to put on his new Halloween costume to show us.
